True Comfort is a Heating and cooling company based out of Des Moines Iowa. Jonathan Marchand is the owner with his two sons Logan and Nathan and his wife Sarah. Jonathan has been in the HVAC industry for over 12 years and his two sons have been fixing things since they were kids. The Marchand family started True Comfort because they saw a need for a Truly Honest home service company that treats customers as if they were members of the family.

Too many HVAC companies will spend most of their time trying to sell something you don’t need, or they will charge super high prices in order to make profits look good to their owners on wall street. At True Comfort, we pledge to treat our customers the same we way we would treat our family and friends. No short cuts, no smooth-talking sales and putting the customer needs first over profits for the guys on Wall Street. We are a family-owned business, and we always will be! True Comfort is the company you can count on to be up front and 100% honest with you about your home comfort systems.

Jonathan Marchand Owner

After spending 12 years in the Marine Corps as an Artillery Liaison chief, Jonathan quickly found a talent for Sales. He worked in sales selling advertising of all kinds. From Yellow Pages to internet marketing, Jonathan has mastered them all. After the housing bubble burst in 2008, Jonathan decided to change his career path to the trades. That is where he fell in love with helping people make good decisions on their home comfort systems. He saw that most people are not educated on how their system operate and there are a lot of companies that work more for profit than for their customers.

Jonathan found success in simply educating his customers and letting them make their own decisions for their comfort needs. And that is the foundation of True Comfort. We believe that if we just educate our customers about how their system operates they will be able to make smart decisions for their home comfort needs. At True Comfort, you won’t get some slick-talking salesmen trying to sell you stuff that is overpriced or that you don’t need, we’re going to shoot you straight and let you make all the decisions. After all, it’s your home! You should get to make all the decisions. We are just here to help you along the way.

Sarah Marchand

Office Manager

After raising 4 boys, Sarah has been selling vintage clothing online. She is well known in the community for throwing an Epic Halloween party every year! If you have been to one of her parties, you will have a hard time finding anyone to outdo her! She is super creative and driven. Before kids, she was in customer service for many years. Those skills are what drive her today at True Comfort as our office manager. Sarah truly cares about people and does whatever it takes to make our customers feel like family!

Logan Black-Marchand

Senior Service Tech

Following in his family’s footsteps, Logan was driven to serve in the military after high school. He joined the Marines as a Firefighter right out of High School. He spent four years in 29 Palms in southern California where he was meritoriously promoted three times. While still in the Marines, he started training after hours to become an HVAC service tech. He immediately started working for his dad when he was honorably discharged in 2020. Today he is a lead HVAC service technician with a passion for helping make homeowners comfortable and safe.

Nathan Marchand

Install Manager

Nathan has been fixing things since he has old enough to hold a flashlight. Don’t let his age fool you! He is an install savant! He gets a kick out of turning old dilapidated systems into brand new shiny pieces of art! His dedication and hard work stem from being a State Champion wrestler with the Southeast Polk Wrestling team. He turned down several offers to wrestle in college because, he already found his passion for HVAC at an early age. If you are in need of a new HVAC system, Nathan is the lead installer you want doing the work!

Christain Abbott

Service Technician

After spending 4 years in the Marine Corps as a Firefighter, he moved to Des Moines to pursue a career in HVAC. And he absolutely loves it and our customers love him! He loves helping people make smart decisions about their home comfort needs. When not at work, he likes to spend time with his dog and working on cars.

Trent Nelson

Install Helper

Trent was born and raised in the Des Moines area. Chances are you have a mutual friend with him. He can't go anywhere without running into someone he knows! He loves helping make people comfortable and meeting our amazing customers. In his spare time, he's a Bull Rider in rodeos all across the country!

Dawson Zeutenhorst

Install Helper

Dawson loves talking to customers and helping them solve the comfort problems. He grew up a block away from the Marchand Family and has become like a member of the family. Our customers love his enthusiasm and happy demeanor.

Matt Coad

Plumbing Manager

Matt Coad is a Master Plumber with over 20 years of industry experience! He loves hunting and spending time with his kids. His favorite part about working with True Comfort is helping homeowners make their home a more comfortable place to live.

Jacob is one of our newest members of the team. With a sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for the field, Jake is committed to providing top quality service and solutions. His enthusiasm for learning and staying current with industry advancements ensures your HVAC systems are in expert hands. When he's not on the job, Jake enjoys exploring new technologies and spending time outdoors.

Administrative Assistant

Kirstin Ives is an accomplished Administrative Assistant and CSR. With over seven years of experience in customer service, Kirstin has excelled in various managerial roles, showcasing her dedication to exceptional customer care and problem-solving. Currently pursuing an Associate's degree in Accounting, Kirstin combines her academic pursuits with her professional expertise, driven by a passion for process improvement and efficiency.
