Last updated: September 16, 2026. If anything on this site is hard to use, call 515-444-9154 — a real person answers 24 hours a day and will help you book service, get a quote, or find the information you need.
Our Commitment
True Comfort Heating, Cooling and Plumbing is committed to making this website accessible and usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use — including people who rely on screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or voice control. Accessibility is part of how we build and maintain the site, not a one-time project: new pages and features are checked against the standard below before they go live, and we fix problems that customers report.
The Standard We Work To
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.2 AA is the widely accepted benchmark for web accessibility. We work toward full conformance and re-test as the site changes; where a page or feature does not yet fully conform, it is listed under Known Limitations below.
What We Have Done
- Semantic structure. Every page uses one main heading, a logical heading order, and landmark regions (header, navigation, main content, footer) so screen readers can jump straight to what matters.
- Keyboard access. Every page starts with a “Skip to main content” link, all navigation menus, buttons, cards, and form fields can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and a visible focus outline shows where you are.
- Text alternatives. Informative images carry descriptive alt text; decorative icons and graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Color and contrast. Body text and interactive elements are designed to meet the 4.5:1 (normal text) and 3:1 (large text and controls) contrast minimums, and color is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Motion. Scroll animations and count-ups respect your operating system’s “reduce motion” setting and are switched off when it is on.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label tied to the input, required fields are marked, and validation messages are announced.
- Text and zoom. Layouts reflow on small screens and at high browser zoom levels, and text can be resized in your browser without loss of content.
Known Limitations
Some parts of the site are provided by third parties whose code we cannot change. We offer a phone alternative for every one of them:
- Online scheduling (ServiceTitan scheduler). The booking window that opens from “Book Now” is ServiceTitan’s embedded scheduler. If it is difficult to use with your assistive technology, call 515-444-9154 and our team will book the same appointment for you.
- Live chat. The chat window in the corner of the page is provided by our phone-system vendor. Everything you can do in chat you can also do by phone at 515-444-9154 or by email at [email protected].
- Maps (Google Maps). The embedded map in the footer follows Google’s accessibility features; our address is always provided in text next to it and on the Contact page.
- Form spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA). Our contact and careers forms use reCAPTCHA. If it blocks you, call or email us instead and we will take your request directly.
- PDFs and older documents. Some downloadable documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the information in an accessible format.

Technical Notes
This site relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript to work with assistive technologies. It is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, with common screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS, and with browser zoom and operating-system text-size settings. We review accessibility with automated checks and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing as pages are built and changed. This statement was last reviewed on September 16, 2026.
